He sings, of course, but he also plays guitar. In fact, Gavin Rossdale writes all the material for Bush on either a Relic Strat or his beloved Jazzmasters and Jaguars.
“My playing is catching up with my instinct,” he told Frontline. “That was there from as soon as I began. Even in the bands I was in before Bush that were no good, I always felt like I knew what I wanted in a situation musically.”
Gavin’s instinct came together with the talents of lead guitarist Nigel Pulsford, bassist Dave Parsons and drummer Robin Goodridge during the recording of the immensely successful sixteen stone and its follow-up, Razorblade Suitcase. Gavin particularly stretched the boundaries on the latter, experimenting with a broader emotional palette and unorthodox chord and song structures. Where will he take us next? He’s as mystified as anyone.

My name is David, I’m 19 from Texas. Well I have all of bush mucis. All the songs are so incredible. Most people just listen to the popular songs, but some I find most appealing are ones never played on the radio. Examples: Distant Voices, Mindchanger, Testosterone (this one makes me laugh). Other favs are Bonedriven and Alien. I suppose that you get alot of these email things, but I just wanted to write this stuff to you. I saw you in concert on the 20th in Austin TX. I was standing next to you as you finished Insect Kin in the crowd. I didn’t think I would ever make it into a concert to see you guys play, but for you to stand there was completely amazing. Keep it up!

1) Alkaline trio (bassist Dan Andrianos crooning tone)
2) Millencolin (Nikola Sarcevic)

don’t get me wrong, blink decends from punk, but they will be the first to tell you that THEY AIN’T PUNK! anyhow, singing punk is quite simple. you sing gravelly and loud, sort of in tune w/ the music. i’ve been into punk for years and have had many slightly successful local bands. th key is not to think much about it while you’re doing it, and to really sing from your gut. the deeper down the voice comes from, the better…good luck.

I think Gavin is really good with singing and playing the guitars both*he is a very talented person* and has many talents*I know he knows it or else he wouldn’t be on the "spot light" on Tv and in everyones mind*which he’s on my mind -2-. He came into this world and became into everyones dreams and wishes "I wish I was him and could be that talented". Some people aren’t that lucky but he came out and expressed himself to everyone to the world* and everyone likes him including me. I love his music and the way he uses it. I think that Gavin and the reat of his band is great. I feel in love with Gavin when I was 13 and now that the years have gone by I am inspired by him Not just by his good looks but by his music.My ex-boyfriend recorded a song ("Wild Houres")off of Saturday Night Live, I feelin love with that song and it is not on any of his cd’s.
