Italian luthier Tranquillo Giannini set up shop in Brazil way back in the year 1900 and the Giannini family is still in business in Brazil today.
As well as producing their own hand crafted series of acoustic guitars, they also import a wide range of instruments, effects and accessories, amplifiers, electric and bass guitars, violins and even craviolas.
Today they also export their instruments to the United States, Paraguay, Chile, Italy and Portugal.

My grandpa gave me a nice Giannini and it plays nice but I do not know to much about these guitars. I was wondering if it should just be like a practice guitar that i can through around and not worry about or if it is worth a good some. It is in good condition and it looks like it is just a full body 6 string acoustic. Does anyone have a clue of it’s value? Email if you do. thanx
Elvis Presley thought enough about the Giannini Guitars that he owned several of them manufactured between about 1968 and 1971, model 900. Go to the Elvis official web site for pictures of his guitars including the Giannini. These were in his party room and were used when friends came over to jam with. One was used in his movies in Hawaii.

I am brazilian and i have a giannini acoustic guitar. Giannini is a great guitar producer, it makes excelent instruments that have low prices and great sound. Some people says that the older instruments of giannini are better, but i believe that is the same thing. Bye

I just picked up a Giannini guitar at a yard sale.This is a steel string, metal (brass/ nickel?) bridge and nut, looks like something picasso would have designed. serial #wk s3006 11 79 (year?). Anyone have an idea as to what this is worth?

they are manufactured in brazil.
generally they are not worth much, even vintage. they were low end guitars and you can usually find them in guitar stares for $150. however, there are some that are very valueable, but these exeptions are rare. for every 5 guitars produced by giannini, about one would have quility sound. Also, the wood it is made out of is quality and the sound of a guitar improves with age, so if it sounds good (deep bassy sound with distinguishable treble highs) you should hold on to it. the best advice I can give is to take it somewhere that does appraisals.
