Gretsch G5420LH Electromatic

This left handed Gretsch provides lefties with a relatively affordable hollow-body guitar with genuine Gretsch mojo.

The G5420LH Electromatic is a hollow-body guitar with a familiar Gretsch single-cutaway shape. The body is made of 5-ply maple featuring sound-post bracing and has both its top and back bound. The f-holes are also bound and it comes equipped with a silver plexi pickguard. To complete its body’s look, the guitar is wrapped in gloss urethane finish available in traditional Orange or Aspen Green.

Its 24.5″ scale maple neck is equipped with an adjustable truss rod. It is topped with a bound rosewood fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets that have hump block inlays.

This guitar is fitted with two Black Top Filter’Tron pickups. This is a recent update to their Electromatic hollow-body pickup design, they adjusted the pickup specifications to match certain Baldwin-era Filter’Tron Pickups. These new pickups are designed to give their affordable hollow-body guitars improved tone – with more punch and more of that Gretsch Twang.

You can switch between pickups via a traditional 3 way pickup selector and the guitar has a volume knob for each pickup, a master volume knob and a master tone. The hardware on the guitar is chrome plated to match the overall vibe. The strings are kept intune by vintage style open-back tuners and a rosewood-based Adjusto-Matic bridge.

The MSRP for this lovely left handed hollow body guitar is currently at $1,100.
