Need info on a terada f-900 model acoustic. It’s got a little bang in the front and needs some small neck work but overall still nice guitar . Anyway needing to know price or estimated value ?
I remember buying my Takamine EF391R new for less than $300. I had a Martin and Guild that were many times that value. I never believed that my Takamine would be worth what it is now! Wow.. #8202699.
My Takamine serial number is TC17084471. How can I find out the model and value?
Takamine has a web page for looking up their serial numbers called Dating Your Takamine.
Once you know the model and age you’ll be able to find out how much they are selling for these days.

What year was this model of classical guitar made and what is the present market price ? thank you…..
I bought one in 1975-6 in Manchester, UK with its beautiful padded case. Bought from Barrats of Manchester (Oxford Rd.) Manager Brian Higham who made me wait 3 months before an example came in that he thought was superb.
Played rarely ( I am a keyboardist), but I occasionally get it out and play some jazz.
Never had a problem with it, it’s a lovely piece of kit.
No idea of value. I think it must have cost around £100-150 at the time.
JP
I have one also, it is somewhere in the early 80s, and takamine says the majority of them were Japan only, which is possibly why they are so hard to find parts and goodies for, mine is kind of a brown/black/gold burst, plays really well, pawnshop guitar, mine has the Tak tremolo with built in fine tuners, and I replaced the ahead of the nut stringlock that Tak said it was supposed to have, mine was missing, anyways….enjoy!!!
would like to know value of guitar
Hi Manny:
I have two of these great guitars. One I got on ebay and paid $365 US and the other I bought from a guitar store online but it needed some work for $199 US.
Hope this helps….

This 2004 1AF SP/CY guitar is the top-of-the-line flamenco model from the esteemed RamÃrez workshop which is suitable for both performance on a concert stage and for traditional flamenco playing with dancers and percussionists. It is a very lively instrument with excellent playability and volume; and has an authentic Spanish sound with a lot of bite, making it one of the favorite choices for serious flamenco guitarists.

I have several older acoustic guitars which have been in a dry and dusty storage building for about 8 years. I would appreciate any tips on cleaning them and doing some light restoration. The two I am most interested in preserving are an old Gibson Medallion and a Monclair (don’t know much about either, and can’t read the serial number inside the Montclair). Both guitars have lots of lovely trim–especially the Medallion. I would like to know what to use to clean them without damaging the wood or MOP trim.

I recently obtained a 1950’s Hofner arch top acoustic jazz guitar from similar circumstances as yours. The important thing is to not damage the existing finish by trying to re-finish it as you will decrease the value. It sounds too simple, but Pledge or a product like Murphy’s furniture oil does a great job. If the finish is crazed or cracket, do not use any water, not even a damp cloth! Keep collecting!
I have an acoustic guitar Takamini made in Japan with a serial number: 96081214 model: CP-132S. I would like to know the year that the instrument was made.

I have a brazilian rosewood K Suzuki D model acoustic guitar. I picked it up in a pawn shop a while back in LA. I bought it because the sound was so incredible that I could not pass it up. I brought it home and saw that it was brazialian rosewood with 3 piece back with spruce in the center cut. The wood is very dark…I have two other Indian rosewood guitars and this one it remarkably darker and different, so I know it is brazialian. It plays like a pre war Martin…I have two other much more expensive acoustic guitars and this one sounds the best…can anyone tell me what this guitar is worth? The model is a 35 and the number on the guitar is 29032. It says Kiso Suzuki Guitar Company on the inside label.
Thanks, Mike

Jay turser jt 137 dragon guitar ? has anyone ever seen one or have a picture I think thats what I have but cannot find any info to id it.
I also have one….I had a black custom pick guard made for mine because I didn’t like the look of the tortise shell that came with it. Apparently this is a very rare guitar. Jay Turser only made a few before the company was suited for copyright infringment on the inlay neck design. They stopped production and tried to destroy the ones that had been made. A few escaped….
Yes I own one and is Great. I can send you a picture.

I recently aquired an electric Pan, name brand guitar from my grandmother that belonged to my grandfather who is now deceased. The guitar itself is in great shape however the pickups are shot. I took it in to a store to try and find replacement pickups but unfortunately they couldn’t find anything that would fit, so if anyone has any extra pickups or an old beat-up pan guitar with working pickups i would be intrested in buying them.
I bought a 57 strat reissue in 89 when new and put it in a closet and forgot about it..sea foam green and case both mint…have these increased in value? keep or sell? Plays great.

We have a Dauphin Cadet #DE57ST, with a 2001 date, now too small for my son, that we would like to sell or trade for a similar full size guitar. We purchased this from my son’s guitar instructor (past tense would be more correct). Looking at the limited information I found on line I think the $400 I paid the instructor was a bit steep. Anyone know about this guitar, any interest in buying this guitar?
Please and thank you,
Jeff

Okay,
I am baffled trying to find my first Classical guitar…. I’ve been playing for about 30 years, on and off, play fingerstyle primarily, and love my old Larrivee, but I’m looking to expand my understanding of the matrix thru a classical study for awhile. But I am baffled at the numbers of classical makers, alleged maestros, spanish/japanese/etc guitars out there. Any suggestions for someone with a quick learning curve who appreciates a good-quality sound and playability?
I have a Dauphin Model 25 classical guitar that I am considering selling. I bought this made-in-Japan guitar in the late 80s. If interested please email me.

Hey i got a ys 500 and it plays really well, i mainly use it for recording, it was quite cheap but i liked the sound so much i got me a Thor Sound 800 (TS800) and now i’m searching for the model with the F-holes i think it is a ys1000, the value of ys500 ? it’s hard to say, but if u like to play it, then u got value 🙂

This popular thread has been given its own page : Terada 12-string?
Hi Heather,I also have a similar 12 string, model no. j 841,which I cannot find any info on either. Its tidy, but needs a new machine head and strings. It sounded good with only the 6 strings that were on it,and it was given to me by a friend.i’m rapt with the ‘find’,and am looking fwd to gettihg it sorted.Mine also has a number, ( 730_11 ).Also cant read middle digit. What model number is yours?
Royd,
N.Z.
I have a Terada 12-string guitar, it looks like it has the number 11 on the label inside the soundhole. There is an unreadable character in front of the number 11. The label is the only thing identifying it as a Terada. My question is: it needs new tuning machines, and the bridge has come off. I was told it was due to unstable bracing. In all of your opinions, is it worth the $150.00 or so to repair it? I have been on the website listed here for Terada guitars, and have not been able to find anything out about my particular model. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Anyone know anything about this model, ect??
Thanks
I would like to know when this model was manufactured and what it retailed for then.
I want to buy the guitar mostly for sentimental reasons. Make me an offer. I live in Greece though. Do you think we could do something through e-bay?

i also have a LYS 12-sting L25-12.. i bought it from a pawn shop in the spring of 93.. i have had it for over 12 years now and i love it. i think i paid $300. for it.. it was well worth it, sounds better than a martin i used to havehd-28. wish i could find out more about them though. i just started searching for info on them .. if you have any info please let me know
It’s pretty straight forward. LYS guitars were made in Ottawa my Godin (not Godwin) and Boucher. The factory burned in late 1980 and was rebuilt but abandoned a short time later. They are now in La Patrie Quebec in the eastern townships and make Simon and Patrick as well as Seagull and Godin guitars. The guitars are excellent and will last more than a life time. I have a L18CW which is a florentine dreadnought cut away. Very rare and yes it sounds better than a martin or taylor. Funny enough I bought mine in a pawn shop in Toronto for $315CDN. It is a demo. A LYS 12 recently sold for more than $400 on ebay, a little high but LYS are getting very rare. The 1980 ones were all hand made with very little machining involved. It anyone has an L18CW for sale contact me as I’d love a back up to give to my son one day.
Hi, I’m looking for Eli…
WOuld like to know if you still have the L25-12…if yes I would be interested to buy, if not would still be interested to collect serial number and pics…I collect Lys (both instrument and data)…
Thanks.
Jerry Briand

many thanks

I have an L-10-12 serial number 10851 that I bought in 1981 or 82. It had fallen off the rack in the store, and had cracked and been repaired. The repair was (and still is) quite visible, but it doesn’t seem to affect the tone at all. I think I paid less than $200 for it back then.
I’m still playing it, and despite the dings and dents that come from dragging a guitar all over North America for over 20 years its still plays well and sounds great.
Godin makes fine guitars. I also own a Godin electric that is as good as anything out there. I’m really happy to support a company that produces a world-class product at a reasonable price without shipping the manufacturing to China or Korea.
As for selling it, you’ll have to pry it from my cold stiff fingers, and do it quick before my son grabs it.
Any other questions feel free to contact me. [email protected]
Thanks for the information posted hear. I just bought a LYS L12 at a pawn shop for 140cdn$ and the sound that comes out of it is incredible. I also have a norman B-20 6 string and for me, Norman has to be one of the best sounding acoustiques ever to be built hear in Quebec, same as Godin Seagul etc etc…. Anyway there is a signature on my Lys Daniel Something, i cant remember the last name but im wondering if it was built for someone or if its a previous owner that imprinted that on the guitar…im curious to find out. Did Lys have signature models? thats my question to all of you….hope to get some feedback…Dave.

i have a terada g704 i think its probably almost the same, mine is also very old already do you have any idea if it is a really good quality guitar or something cause i really dont know, Joost – The Netherlands
My father bought this guitar for me in 1975 secondhand – cannot tell when it was made – not a very popular make at the time – in fact I have not seen another – this guitar has really been played – on the beach , in street carnivals , taken on picnics etc – needless to say , it is not in pristine condition – beautiful tone and feel – will not part with it – Durban , Republic of South Africa .
