Hi, I am interested in buying one of these Hagstroms, as I had one back in the late 1950’s, should anyone be looking to sell one. Contact me by email, please.
I have a red hagstrom, 2 pickups, corrugated silver between the pickups, tremolo, vinyl back, like new condition. The serial number is 6031038. I believe this to be a Hagstrom 1. Maybe from ’65? I would really appreciate it if anyone has the info to tell me for sure. From what I’ve learned online, maybe batch no. 603, 1038’th guitar from that batch? Thanks in advance for any help.
Hi I have a cherry red Hagstrom guitar. I think its a 1971 but not sure. Was a line shipped to Canada. Serial # is 787003. Any idea if it is a ’71 or what the value is. Headstock is similar to a strat, the body is like a strat but with sharper points like an SG. It has a black pick-gaurd and a single double coil pick-up.
Have a white 1960’s Hagstrom Ser#67…… but needs some work. If you might be interested in a hag that you can restore or get restored. Will send you some photos. Jim
For sale: 1963 Hagstrom Condor. I am the original owner of this fine instrument. Used when playing for Angie and the Raiders from ’63-’67. Since then only played occasionally. I was wondering if anyone could help me?
I have a Futurama 3 De Luxe which I purchased new in the UK around 1964 (the first year they came out I think)the number is 545733 I would be interested to know the exact year and the number made for that year.
Also, after about 45 years some spent in loft storage I think the pick ups and probably the volume control need repair or replacing(assuming that would be financially viable)I now live in Texas between Fort Worth and Dallas, can anyone recommend either a parts supplier / alternative suitable parts or somewhere I could take the guitar for repair?
Been in the original Selmer snake skin style case with crushed velvet effect inside for about 30 years untouched or played. Also says Kings Neck with ‘ Hagstrom expander.’ also ‘ Pat . Pen. (presume patent pending) also on body of base just by neck – small silver effect plate with no. 587333. Is it worth holding onto selling? I have no desire to play it now – I don’t know if it works!!!. Suggestions ( not rude please Best regards and thanks……….Phil

Jim: I have a tailpiece for the above.It is missing the gold slanted bar.This is a common problem for the V11s as the bar was only glued on.I also have the logo that glues onto the tail piece,but it is silver not gold and made for the Viking and Viking 1.Gold tailpiece very good condition as is $80.00 US. Silver logo $40.00 US.

I have owned and played a red/orange Hagstrom II since the 60’s #632971 and bought two more sold a white one and picked up a sunburst one #673632 late 70’s or early 80’s can’t remember anymore. Both are original but I want to repair/replace switches, pickups,bridge, etc. Any ideas? thanks,Joe

Never mind that last one, I used the link you had to see the picture, just wasn’t paying good attention to it for some reason, didn’t sink in until after I sent off my message, was ez to see how it got the batman tag
I’m curious as to what is a Batman model, I’ve never seen or heard of that one. I have a couple of H II’s circa the late 60’s as well as a 68 Viking I and two of the newer ones, an F-300 & F-301, plus just the body for an F-20T. Working on getting one of the new Ultra-Lux series, well still trying to save up for one. Would be great if you had a picture you could email of that Batman model.
1965-66 during the heyday of Hagstrom guitars. From 1963 to 1967, Hagstrom made over 20,000 of the plastic and vinyl H1-Kent guitars. But, not doubt cause of the coolness factor, they still bring 350-400 USD on Ebay, and there are usually one or two or more on all the time

867078 = Hagstrom Jazzbass -1973/74, number 78/200 from that batch. So you could say that yours is from 1973. (My quess)

I’m curious as to what is a Batman model, I’ve never seen or heard of that one. I have a couple of H II’s circa the late 60’s as well as a 68 Viking I and two of the newer ones, an F-300 & F-301, plus just the body for an F-20T. Working on getting one of the new Ultra-Lux series, well still trying to save up for one. Would be great if you had a picture you could email of that Batman model.

1965-66 during the heyday of Hagstrom guitars. From 1963 to 1967, Hagstrom made over 20,000 of the plastic and vinyl H1-Kent guitars. But, not doubt cause of the coolness factor, they still bring 350-400 USD on Ebay, and there are usually one or two or more on all the time

It´s a 1966 and was made in Qty of 1000!
