Mal’s playing is all about naturally playing the correct notes with amazing tone. That comes from years of experience and dedication to adding his name to a long list of great guitarists. I am proud to count him as one of my mates. even if he is a Parra supporter!!

You should be able to download all of the deleted STARS albums from the Midoztouch website. Otherwise you have to do the ebay thing. Had LAND and 1157 stolen from my car 5 years ago…and I’m still searching for replacements.

Mal I only just found out about your illness and I am devastated. What rotten cruel luck. Here is hoping that you make a full recovery and we once again get to hear your brilliant guitar playing. You are a legend. If I can help you in any way, email me pal. I will be saying a prayer for you and that is something I never do……..Paul.
To all you Blues/Rock people,

A worthy followup to "The Southern Line" , "Spirit" has is laced with Mal’s thoughtful and muscular guitar playing. The whole band interacts as equals, this recording confirms yet again that Australian Blues is blessed with artful music, and with enough venom to continue Mal’s esteemed reputation. A feeling of space and time pervades the music, giving the listener a chance to let go and give the music a chance to carry you along for the ride. This is not an exercise in "too many notes" , or walls of noise suitable compressed and expanded.Highly Recommended for those who like clean, clear production without any feeling of synthetics or artificial production tricks.

Cant wait to catch up at a gig.
we`r so glad to hear Mals back on stage and well but have had no other confirmation of this and don`t want to get our hopes up just to be dissapointed and saddened again. We have been waiting so long to hear of any good news about Mal and if this is true you have made not only our day but our whole year! We caught Mals shows whenever we could in Perth and experienced some of the best musical nights of our lives. Please keep us posted of up coming events and news of any kind, we have missed Mal so much as have a lot of others in West Oz, I`m still wearing the t shirt i bought at one of his early gigs in Perth in the early 80`s it`s a bit holey now but it keeps me close to him, i`v had to replace southern line a couple of times as well due to thieves with good musical taste. All our prayers love and best wishes are with Mal.: : A worthy follow up to "The Southern Line" , "Spirit" is laced with Mal’s thoughtful and muscular guitar playing. The whole band interact as equals, this recording confirms yet again that Australian Blues is blessed with artful music, and with enough venom to continue Mal’s esteemed reputation. Mal I have seen you play a hundred times. You know me also but I have had to move to the country and I am unable to get to my beloved concerts as much now. I nearly made it to Wingham the other week but just missed out. I will catch you hopefully in May when I get down to Sydney. I just got my Spirit album and it is great as expected. Cheers pal…

I’d have to say from what I’ve heard, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Jimmy Hendrix, and Randy Rhodes are by far, the best guitarists I’ve come across. If anyone knows of any song by that deserves attention, drop me a line. I’m constantly on the look out.
