One day there will be. But lots of things have to change. I really miss the great soloing of that 70 and 80’s era. And I practice every day. I look to George for inspiration to playing. I am paying close attention to his hand techniques. That stretch he does in Tooth and Nail is pretty tough to do, during the solo. I have his Guitar Bible and REH – George Lynch Instructional Video tape. Those are the esential building blocks of his style. He goes into great detail on how he plays and different techniques he uses. Those are better than those books. Because it is someone elses interpretation of his fingering patterns. You can order them from his website. They have really helped me become a better player. I practice his gothic octave all the time. Another book that really helped me before these were those Troy Stetina lead guitar books. Especially the Speed Mechanincs for lead guitar. Lots of triplet exercises.

Granted, they were without a lead singer, and I do think the bass player filled in well, and it was the last show of the tour, but I was there to see "Mr. Scary" and what I heard was hardly on par with his earlier recorded work.Time to hit the woodshed George, ’cause I wouldn’t go see that crap again…

I used to be one of those people that thought Eddie was the king. That was until i heard my first dokken record.Lynch has so many sides to his playing it’s unreal. I’m a guitar player and i really enjoy playing along with the old dokken records. I’m forever learning new little tricks of george’s.
My only wish is to see dokken just once with lynch live playing the classics.
I was fortunate enough to see George and the band during the "Back for the Attack" tour, and it was the greatest musical experience i have EVER had.

I walked through the maze of the musicstore and found the DOKKEN cd section. I looked and again saw the ‘DYSFUNCTIONAL’ cd on the shelf. I remembered hearing negative things about it, but after seriously thinking about it, I went ahead and bought it. I figured it wouldn’t hurt to. I took it home and "listened" to it while hearing it. I was only upset at one thing, and "that" was of the negative comments that other people made on this record. I myself liked it alot. It was like a combination of Dokken and The Lynch Mob. Hmmm! Maybe it should have been named that way; who knows. I was fascinated by it. It was very different in a sensce of spirituality. It was like the spiritual, meditational side of Dokken, with heavy riffs to go with it. Intense and pleasing to the soul. I personaly am very open to various forms and styles of music. This cd was a go-getter for me. I also bought The Lynch Mob cd. I liked "Chromeplated", "Relaxin In The land Of AZ", "Playalistics" and the rest of the songs. It was different ("again") and very real. I like real music. It was felt. And I felt it. Great Job on the record. My girlfriend likes "Relaxin In The Land Of AZ". She says that its very touching. It does create a sense of unfairness toward you, as I read on about your experiences that you had on George’s Wedding day. I would also do what would be necesary to attend his wedding; even if ti meant having to lose a RV; Nevertheless, there are times when things wont turn out the way we would expect them to. Sorry to hear about your disapointment. We are all with you and we are all with George. My mother passed away on my birthday and it was heartfelt for me also. Don’t be angry with him and don’t let it get to you. It doesen’t solve your disapointment, as it didn’t solve mine. When she was in the hospital I asked for more time, but none was given. I realized that the only way to begin to begin again, was just by simply accepting the disapointment and realizing that one needs to go on. I believe that George meant no offence to you, just as God allowed this thing to happen to me, but not against me. We must grow in our understanding in order to loosen the shackels off of ourselves. I was only 10 years old when I first heard George in DOKKEN. PHENOMINAL, MAN!!!! I said, "Man, someday I’m gonna play just like him." And I do. I have kept his style for many years. I don’t know why every time I played a OZZY song or a RATT song or any other song, I always end up turning the songs into a Lynch song; Nevertheless, others like it. I’ve heard lots and lots of bands throughout the years, but no other band guitarist has ever left a trademark in style like George. (Maybe Warren DiMartini) There are others and they do have their footprints in music history, but if you look closely at George’s, they are of a T-REX.
