My post was made at 2am my time (this actual post is 4:45am). I have to work on Gsite at this hour because certain, lazy mods the other side of the world are still scratching their nads and can’t get their heart beating without two tins of warm, fizzy pop to drink first. Now I know you’ve rubbed and scratched, I can finally log off and get some sleep 🙂

Well… I thought it was a tad odd… I even questioned myself as to why you didn’t bring up the connection. I thought I must have had my C’s, B’s and S’s confused. But no, you just made a limp, brain dead post which I had to save your ass from.

Personally, I think that if 1BL talks about Columbia and doesn’t realize the Fender connection, he wants his bottom thwacking 😳
Flaming myself doesn’t make for entertainment, but I still can’t believe I wrote such a limp, brain-dead post. Apols.

I remember a few good flame wars. None that was I ever involved in, but I was lurking. WE NEED MORE FLAME WARS. That’s why internet forums were invented.

What a good pick! CBS Masterworks was made by Fender, before they officially were known to have overseas product. Acoustics only. Named after the CBS broadcasting co. takeover of Fender, directly after Leo sold his company in 1965. I think they were late 60’s early 70’s models, same quality roughly as Epiphone/Yamaha. There were very few, and those that exist have usually stood up well, and are rare. Value at the most in my humble opinion $300 – $400 depending on where you are – Canada or US? I might be sucking eggs, but the acronym makes me think of “Columbia Broadcasting System” – the network channel. I’ve seen valves/tubes with their logo so it wouldn’t surprise me if the brand was put on guitars also.
