Breedlove Stage Series 2015

Breedlove Stringed Instruments introduce the updated 2015 Stage Series acoustics, now with a new pickup system.

To satisfy the recording needs of today's players, the company went with the Fishman INK3 USB preamp system. It will let you record your playing and musical ideas directly to your computer without the need for a 3rd party hardware.

At the heart of this new pickup and preamp system is a Fishman Sonicore pickup, one of the most widely used piezo pickups for acoustic-electric guitars. Many of today's guitar manufacturers have opted for this very same pickup, from big name brands to obscure builders.

The captured signal passes through the 3-band EQ for tone shaping right on your guitar. It also comes with a chromatic tuner which again reduces the need for extra pedals or gear. And as the name of the pickup system implies, you will no longer need a separate audio interface box to capture your performances and musical ideas, because the guitar itself can directly connect to your computer.,

The 2015 Breedlove Studio Series is currently available in three models, one of which sports a traditional dreadnought shape. A concert body version is also available if you prefer note clarity over volume. Also included in Breedlove's updated Studio Series 2015 is a 12-string model, which is quite neat especially when paired with modern USB recording capability.

Aside from the new pickup, all three Studio Series guitars come with a new updated burst finish. The 12-string and Concert models are equipped with "Breedlove Bridge Tabs". The company elaborates, " The BBT is mounted to the bridge from the inside and is connected into the tail block of the guitar, pulling downward on the underside of the bridge to distribute some of the tension, relieving pressure on the top. The resulting tonal effect on BBT-equipped guitars is more resonance and livelier sound with enhanced overtones.
