Warwick Corvette $$ 2015

Warwick updates the Custom Shop Corvette $$ electric bass for 2015, now featuring hand-selected flamed maple top.

Warwick Corvette $$ 2015

Since the Corvette $$ (Double Buck) continues to overshadow the Corvette Standard model, it's only natural for the company to keep this model updated to meet the changing demands of players.

The Corvette line is currently the most popular bass in Warwick's Custom Shop lineup, thanks to it's unique body shape, ergonomics and impressive tone. Professional rock and metal bassists have been putting this instrument to good use and although quite pricey, it continues to be on the wishlist of many players.

Now the most popular model of the Corvette line gets updated for 2015, with the top and back now featuring premium tonewoods. Each Corvette $$ will now come with a hand selected 3/8" thick, colored AAA flamed maple top. This upgraded top is then paired with solid USA sourced swam ash. Like its predecessor, the top & back side are flat shaped for handling and playing ease, and the body is carved to follow the distinct double cutaway shape of the Corvette line.

The 3-piece Wenge neck is topped by a wenge fingerboard with 24 jumbo bronze extra-hard frets for the fretted version, while the fretless version features a tigerstripe ebony fingerboard. This bass is considered as long scale, having a scale length of 34". Fingerboard radius is 20" and it joins the body via bolt-on construction.

Giving this bass it's distinct Corvette sound are two passive MEC MM-style humbucker pickups, both are routed to the active MEC 2-band electronics.

Other features of the Corvette $$ 2015 include the 2-piece solid brass Warwick bridge, security locks and the choice of either black, chrome or gold hardware. Finish options include natural oil, colored oil and high polish.

The Warwick Corvette $$ is currently available in 4/5/6 string configurations. The price range for this Custom Shop model is $4,200 to $5,900. Visit Warwick for further details.
