I found this interesting YouTube video where Alex Chadwick from Chicago Music Exchange attempts to present a brief history of rock in 100 riffs.
He does a pretty good job of it with just a few minor mistakes – how many riffs can you play flawlessly in a row?
And what do you think Alex has left out? Like, where is “Sunshine of Your Love”, or “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”?
Love it! I think he’s captured some great ones. I like the chronology of it as well. I can only say that there was no Sly & the Family Stone or Stevie Wonder, but I can’t fault him!
Yeah I think he did a pretty good job overall – fairly brave actually to put himself our there like that!
Wow that’s brilliant!
