This studio quality adapter comes with multiple input/outputs, flexible power supply options and it packs all these features inside a compact form factor in keeping with the company’s popular iRig line of mobile audio adapters.
The new iRig Pro Duo lets you plug-in two instruments/mics via its two XLR/TRS combo audio input jacks that feature low-noise and high-headroom preamps. The two channels feature independent gain controls and support phantom power. You can use it with your guitars, basses, microphones and it can also work with keyboards and other line-level instruments.
Even high-end phantom powered condenser microphones are compatible with its 48V phantom power which can be activated via a switch. To transform your analog guitar sound into the digital domain, IK Multimedia employs high-end 24-bit AD/DA converters. This means that you can do multi-track recording in real-time, ideal for singer songwriters, dual instrument jamming and more.
Stereo pair of TRS balanced output jacks are provided in case you want latency free monitoring, or you want to plug your guitar straight to an amp or PA. There’s also a convenient headphone out with level control for quiet practice or recording.
In addition to audio, the iRig Pro Duo also doubles as a MIDI adapter, featuring MIDI in and out jacks that will let you connect controllers and other MIDI devices. This expands the possibilities of what you can do with your music, and it does so while keeping a small footprint that can easily be carried around.
Another cool feature is its ability to be self-powered via two conventional AA batteries. Other power options are also available including being powered via USB or via an optional power adapter that you can plug into a power outlet. This means that you can use this adapter literally anywhere, and you don’t have to worry about powering the unit because of the options available.
