Sweetwater GearFest '13

Sweetwater is all set for GearFest '13, a music trade show/festival scheduled for June 21 - 22, 2013 at Fort Wayne, Indiana.

This event is open to the public and will feature musicians and the gear they use to make music.

GearFest '13 will be a mix of entertainment, trade shows and flea markets, and it is meant to be a dream land for musicians. You can watch and be inspired by great artists, as well as purchase or drool over some of the latest and best gear available.

With its live music, food and fancy giveaways, the event is also meant to bring family friendly fun. Sweetwater will make this year's expo bigger than the previous ones, with two full days of workshops, seminars, musical performances, manufacturer exhibits and other surprises.

One of the most anticipated part of GearFest '13 are the various gear giveaways. There will be more than $47,000 worth of instruments and equipment to be given away to lucky expo attendees. There will be hourly prizes that are sponsored by big name manufacturers such as Line 6, Avid, Moog, Orange, Ampeg, Taylor, Washburn, Rode, Sonodyne, Pigtronix, Apogee, Fishman and many more. And all you have to do to win is to simply register as you enjoy festival.

Aside from these freebies, Sweetwater will also be offering "once-in-a-lifetime sale pricing" on many of their products, and these includes our favorite stringed instruments.

GearFest '13 will have a special flea market section where you can buy, sell or trade used equipment. You can also enjoy a free guitar setup and restringing service at the venue.

35 major guitar gear manufacturers are scheduled to be present, along with 20 microphone makers, 45 recording equipment vendors, 20 software publishers and many more. They will feature some of their latest gear much like they would on a trade show.
