  18. The Mystery Song Called "Hunger"

    The song called ‘Hunger’ is by a band called Eternal Decision. It is actually called ‘Hunger’, but not by either Megadeth nor Metallica or any members from either band. The badn came out around the same time as Ride the Lightning, and didn’t do anything else afterward. It first appreard on a Metallica Bootleg (I’m not sure what one), and it just went from there. Now due to the fact that Napster users can name any song what they want, message boards like these will be popping up all over the place. Glad I could be of Service.

    I downloaded this song and it says (ECW Instrumental Mix). I’ve heard the original version too, this one is basically the same only with no lyrics and they solo over the whole song. My question is, is this Dave and Marty soloing over the whole song or did some guy who works for ECW solo over the parts. Did megadeth record two versions?

        In the behind the scenes thing on the Rude Awakening DVD, Dave says that Al is a way better guitar player then him, but he’s no Dave Mustaine on the rythem. Thats on their newer albums, on their older ones, Marty owned all guitar players!! Even Mustaine on rythem =P

            mustaine is god. no questions. singer, guitarist, songwriter, co-producer…. as a lead though, marty ripped the competition to pieces (anyone remember tornado of souls… or more recently victory!?)

        Hunger is by Eternal Decision, and the singer is Joe Chambless. You can download their "Hunger" MP3 at http://www.eternaldecision.com under "MP3". Other songs that Joe Chambless sings (and sound a little less James-Hetfield-ish) are (IIRC, I’m not looking at the album covers) "Breaking", "Overflow", and "Blindsided". Their other singer, Dave Perkinson sings other songs to help break the band away from their Metallica-ish image, like (IIRC) "Scales", "Without Shelter", and "Free".

            IT’S NOT METALLICA! It’s sounds ten times more like Mustaine than Hetfield, especially because now James’ voice is all rednecky. The only thing is that the solo is not good enough to be Mustaine or Friedman, they’re both awesome guitarists and would have come up with something better, it’s not something Hammet would do either. It’s probably some new group with a half ass guitarist and a singer that wants to be Dave Mustaine, but WHO IS IT???

              The band that made the song Hunger is a christian Metal band called Holocaust. They made it so it was under Metallica and Megadeth for publicity purposes. I guess it woked.
