Im working on one right now, nearly done… it’s tuned C-G-C-F-G#-C if you were having problems working it out. I will upload it to my website xalexxtabs.metalhordes.com when it is done. Oh and I got asked about the fast lick in the verse so for those of you who cant wait it is basically a fast lick down the strings in this fashion: 6-3-0 v 6-3-0 v 6-3-0 with v representing go one string down…. dah hard to explain! wait for the tab!

i’m new to the whole band thing, i’ve got a guitarist that comes up with things that i think are ehh ok i guess, then i got a bassist who trys to come up with complicated things and never will ever do what the guitarist is doing for some reason. nothing ever works, i think the bassist is trying too hard to come up with stuff thats hard. how do YOU guys write songs in bands?

hey, this what i have for my heart bleeds no longer. of course they use 7 string guitars and i only have a 6 string, so this is how i play it in standard tuning. you’ll have to figure the rhythm out for yourself though.
repeat this however many times. sometimes he goes 1 fret higher for the high squeals (16,13 on the g and b strings, respectively)
for this next part its alot of guitar harmony, pretty much when they combine they are octaves of the same note. im just going to tab out the general idea. he tremelo picks, but i didnt tab it out that way, but it sounds fine if you just play them as octaves once.
then comes the low E power chord breakdown. you can figure that out. after that he goes straight into what i already tabbed. i dont remember the exact arrangement, but you can figure it out im sure.
he ends the phrase on that note in parentheses, though i dont think he plays it this time either and goes straight into this (tremelo picking):
repeat that however many times. i dont know the rythm guitar for that part and i dont have the cd with me. you can figure it out probably. he ends that figure with this:
no its in standard tuning, with a 7 string guitar. they always play their breakdowns with the bottom two strings open so its like an inverted e power chord.
I am 100% positive that Unearth plays with a 7 string Ibanez RG-7621. You obviously haven’t seen them because not one of them uses a Gibson product. The tuning is tuned down from standard B to low A as standard guitars would tune from standard E to D. I am positive of this. I have sat and talked with Nate (one of the guitarists).
they arnt playing the rg series….it is actually an S serires S7420 , i know this for 2 reasons, 1- i saw them live and ken susi was playing it…and 2- i own the guitar and its the exact same one, however they may play other models at different times but im sure this is the one they use…go to this link if u think im full of crap and see if it looks familiar…ken susi plays this guitar live on the unearth dvd…http://www.musik-service.de/ProduX/Gitarren/EGitarren/Ibanez_S7420_BP_7String.jpg. however ken susi’s guitar is a blueish/turqouise (as is the one i own).
i dont know why everyone wanted this but i figured it out just because it was mentioned so many times on this board. heres what i think it is (tune down 1 whole step)-
95% of the song is 2 chords (i wrote out the chord names as they would be in standard tuning)
i definitely think he just plays a straight E major instead of e 7 sometimes, but either one sounds fine throughout. the more muted section of the song goes like this-
call me crazy, but i woudl bet serious money that petitioning is not in drop d. i figured out the saddest day a while back and i swear its in standard tuning. the lowest chord i hear is the E. does anyone else agree or am i a retard?

from autumn to ashes is by far the easiest band ever to figure out… im not being sarcastic. reflections is in e minor and every note they play is in that scale (except mayve the 5 in the power chords, but the roots are all tehre) its real easy to figure out in an hour or so. i suggest doing that

i’m new to the whole band thing, i’ve got a guitarist that comes up with things that i think are ehh ok i guess, then i got a bassist who trys to come up with complicated things and never will ever do what the guitarist is doing for some reason. nothing ever works, i think the bassist is trying too hard to come up with stuff thats hard. how do YOU guys write songs in bands?

hey, this what i have for my heart bleeds no longer. of course they use 7 string guitars and i only have a 6 string, so this is how i play it in standard tuning. you’ll have to figure the rhythm out for yourself though.

there is now way that song is in standard tuning… i think its like in drop C or something
no its in standard tuning, with a 7 string guitar. they always play their breakdowns with the bottom two strings open so its like an inverted e power chord.
I am 100% positive that Unearth plays with a 7 string Ibanez RG-7621. You obviously haven’t seen them because not one of them uses a Gibson product. The tuning is tuned down from standard B to low A as standard guitars would tune from standard E to D. I am positive of this. I have sat and talked with Nate (one of the guitarists).
they arnt playing the rg series….it is actually an S serires S7420 , i know this for 2 reasons, 1- i saw them live and ken susi was playing it…and 2- i own the guitar and its the exact same one, however they may play other models at different times but im sure this is the one they use…go to this link if u think im full of crap and see if it looks familiar…ken susi plays this guitar live on the unearth dvd…http://www.musik-service.de/ProduX/Gitarren/EGitarren/Ibanez_S7420_BP_7String.jpg. however ken susi’s guitar is a blueish/turqouise (as is the one i own).
unearth plays in drop d. they don’t play 7-strings. i’ve seen em a bunch of times. also, gibson doesn’t make a 7 string so that kinda kills that idea
good thing they play ibanez…. you obviously havent payed attention to thier guitar rigs.

from autumn to ashes is by far the easiest band ever to figure out… im not being sarcastic. reflections is in e minor and every note they play is in that scale (except mayve the 5 in the power chords, but the roots are all tehre) its real easy to figure out in an hour or so. i suggest doing that

i dont listen to them, but i was figuring out 10.21 and i know that it was tuned down 1 half step. i dont know if they also tune down their e string an additional step though (drop d).
