Remembering Guitar Legend, Les Paul

It's a somber day in the music world as the Father of the Electric Guitar, Les Paul, has passed away at the age of 94. Whether pioneering the earliest advances in solid-body guitar design (with his luminary Log), advancing the world of multi-track recording, winning multiple Grammies, hosting a wildly popular television series and radio series, or performing with friends and fans such as Keith Richards, Buddy Guy, Billy Gibbons, Jeff Beck, and Eric Clapton twice a week in NYC's Iridium Jazz Club, Les Paul was a man of constant creativity and innovation. Les Paul even became the only person in history to gain entry into the Grammy Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the National Inventors Hall of Fame, and the National Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

Not much more can be said about this legend that already hasn't, so we've decided to honor Les' memory with our favorite selection of Gibson and Epiphone Les Paul guitars, arguably the most famous instruments in the history of American popular music. Each headstock emblazoned with his famous name and signature represents tradition and history, and at Same Day Music we're proud to be a small part of it. Order today, we'll ship today, and by tomorrow you can be honoring the memory of Les Paul in a way we think he'd appreciate – by pushing the boundaries of conventional music with the instrument he created and loved.

Please forgive us for this mistake – both Daniel and I who are the co-founders of Hitsquad (publishers of GuitarSite) are both big Gibson and Les Paul fans, we played these guitars onstage back when we were in bands, and we are very sorry for allowing sponsored links to be published in this story.

Please don’t blame the sponsor – it was entirely our fault for allowing the links to be placed in the first place.
