  1. Bass tabs for Diary of a Madman
    H

urgently need BASS tabs for diary of a madman, if at all posible APC’s version…doesn’t matter if it’s not complete, it’s just to give me an idea of where to start…thanks a lot. =)

    1. Re: Bass tabs for Diary of a Madman
a TRUE perfect circle and CURE fan

Hey, retard… are you aware that perfect circle’s version of ‘diary of a madman’ is played to the cure’s immortal ballad "Lovesong." If your retarded ass wants to learn it, search for the originators. THEN, once you’ve learned the original, Play it an octave lower. THEN once you’ve learned it THAT way, Drop the scale down 3 steps…and it’s in that key. NOw, if I listed the notes for you, I’d be as big of an idiot as you are. You have to earn the right to play a cure bassline, dipfuck.

      1. Re: Bass tabs for Diary of a Madman

i’ve already gotten the bass tabs for lovesong off the net and the ones for diary of a madman (ozzy version) i just didn’t want to grab both tabs and decide which bit goes were since i’m not playing that line anyway…, yes i was aware of the use of lovesong tough o wouldn’t go as far as calling it inmortal…and yes, if you were to list the notes out for me, i would have to agree that yes, you would be an idiot, since i requested that if you have the file, send it to me, not to sit down and write it all for me, i don’t concider myself THAT important……anyway, thanxs for not helping me anymore than i’ve helped myself already…
and, no, no one should have to "earn" the right to play any damn thing, i think TOOL are the best fucking band on the planet, and if anyone wants to play something of theirs, no matter how naively they go into it, or how crap is sounds, i’d still say: Yeah man! good for ya! your playing something from the best fucking band on the planet!…..and it would definatly put a big wide smile on my face to hear someone playing it, they don’t have to earn the fucking right to do anything…

      with it on your back

      A E B G
      a name in your recollection,

      A E B G–C#m
      down among a million same.

      A C#m
difficult not to feel a little bit disappointed

      when i’ve looked right through

      C#m D
to see you naked but oblivious

      —–
      and you don’t see me.

      A E B G
but i threw you the obvious

      A E B G
just to see if there’s more behind

      A E B G
the eyes of a fallen angel,

      A E B G-C#m
      the eyes of a tragedy.

      A
here i am expecting just a little bit

      C#m
      too much from the wounded.

      A
but i see, see through it all

      C#m D
      see through, see you.

      E B F
’cause i threw you the obvious

      E B F
to see what occurs behind the

      E B F
      eyes of a fallen angel,

      E B F
      eyes of a tragedy.

      A C#m
      well—-

      A B-C#m
      oh well

      A
      apparently nothing.

      C#m A B C#m D
      apparently nothing at all

      A

I am looking for a tab that gives the rhythm portion of the allman brothers’ insturmental "Jessica." For obvious reasons, the only thing I can find on a conventional tab site is the lead.

        Judith" by A Perfect Circle
tabbed by Matt Braddy ([email protected])

Okay here’s my take on this song. I’ve spent several hours
working on this and attended two APC concerts (watching Billy
and Troy in awe), so I think it’s very close. Feel free to
send me mail about any errors I may have made. I’ve played
this exact tab w/friends of mine and we couldn’t tell a
difference from it and the CD. Enjoy!

    JPS

i HAVE BEEN LOOKING ALL OVER FOR THE TABS TO BRENA ON MER DE NOMS. IF YOU HAVE IT, PLEASE SEND IT TO ME, I WILL BE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL.

    1. Re: DOES ANYBODY HVE THE TABS FOR BRENA????????
      Toby

Well, I tried to tab it myself one day, but I think that the intro instrument is a bass and not a guitar… Anyway It’s pretty easy to figure out, but you have to tune to drop D and also tune down an half step.

  8. i got 3 libras tabs
    tripp

the intro is mainly open,(1st position) 4th string second fret and third string second fret. in this position play second, third, and 5th sting (6th string being smallest) at same time then play 4th and 5th, then play all three strings again, repeat this. next bar all strings on the fourth fret and put pinky and ring finger on 3rd and fourth string, 6th fret(2nd position). in that position play 2nd 3rd and 5th string at same time, then 4th and fifth string, then all three strings again. go back to the first position and play it same way. now go up to where you are baring 7th fret(3rd position), and put it in the same finger position as second position, play it the same way. now go to the second position and play it same way. now go to first position again, play it same way. next second position same way, then back to first playin same way, then to third position same way, then go back to second position same way. NOW go to where you are baring the fifth fret in the same position as others, play IT the same way.
then comes in the singing. play the first part in first position, only play it twice. then play second string 2nd fret, fourth and fifth string, fourth fret. play in this position once all together, then fourth to fifth string, then all 3 together again. then do the same , all up one fret, and do the same motion… you should figure it alll out from there

    1. MEANING OF THREE LIBRA'S
      Michelle (via moderator)

In the liner notes to the single, Keenan said: "Up until the mid twentieth century the mountain gorilla was considered a myth. Oddly enough, a legend not unlike Bigfoot or the Loch Ness monster. The chance of actually seeing/experiencing this elusive shadow was as likely as finding one’s soulmate. Rare. Precious. Even once discovered they seemed unapproachable. The only way to get close to this magnificent creature was to become empathetic. Abandon all pretense and preconceptions. To bare an open throat. To collapse into the arms of vulnerability. All but extinct, these beings/moments are threatened by the black hearted. The cold and oblivious. The empty eyed profit seekers that overlook these Rare. Precious Things!!!

      lying all alone and restless
      unable to lose this image
      sleepless unable to focus on
      anything but your surrender

in time with the rhythm that’s in my head
succombing now to the sight of you lying
so in love with this new understanding
so in love with the lever that makes that
      unmistakable sound i was hearing
the unmistakeable sound that I know so well
spitting, sweating with the look in your eyes
spitting sweating with the look on your face like

      sweet revelation, sweet surrendering

I’m not entirely sure about v 2; i’m not listening to it right now.

as for 3l, if you watch the video, it appears to be a shallow sexual symbol, and really it is on the surface. however, the boat is symbolic of both Maynard’s member and his love, he is at a pool trying to sail to 3 libras (he cannot choose, and thus drowns while under the supervision of a blind lifeguard – love is very risky and if you can’t swim on your own, you will drown in it) the hotel is also a symbol of great choice, but great indecision. the ending, with the ballroom, he is naked (or as naked as he can get on tv) and vulnerable, however, no one even sees that about him because of who he is: Maynard James Keenan. If you were maynard, people probably wouldn’t listen to a word you have to say without a hint of "It’s the tool guy" it’s a song about frustration in attempting to express one’s feelings, first in love, then in life, then to the people who effectively own him.

I love discussion on music and artists esp maynard, manson, reznor and many others.

      : [email protected]
i’ve never seen the video but i’ve listened to the song an d i think he’s talking about about a beautiful girl who has been treated bad or let down by alot of men-he likes her but she just sees him as just another one of those guys who only wants one thing from her- but the thing is he sees past the make-up and fake smiles and he sees her- but she doesn’t see him as different she sees him as a guy who wants to use her again

    2. re: what it is, what it is
      Matt Hall (mr. elusive)

3 libras is about 3 ladies he once knew who all treated him badly… Whether it was one after the other or some at the same time i dont know. They all happened to have the astrological sign of libra

In a live version of the song, he says the following: "This is a song called 3 libras. I think at least two of those libras are here tonight. And if this song sounds bitter it’s because it is… and i am."

      hope that helped a little

  10. a perfect circle guitar
    matt o'rourke

alright, i have figured out a bunch of the songs from mer de noms and will try to write out some tabs for them. but first, if you are trying to play them know this: the whole album is tuned down 1 – 1/2 steps to the key of c#. it’s not "dropped d", but rose is tuned down 1-1/2 steps with the c# dropped to b#.

    1. diary of a madman
      Matt Hall (mr. elusive)

Diary of a madman is a cover of an old ozzy tune off the album of the same name. It featured the amazing guitar wizardry of Mr. Randy Rhoads (whom I think you should all check out) When a perfect cirlcle does it live, they usually mix it with a song by the cure, which i believe is titled "love song" or something like that. You can find tabs to these songs on any tab site. I suggest going to http://www.dogpile.com and looking up "ozzy tab" or "cure Tab"

I hope this has been of some help…

    2. Re: 3 libras
      houston216

on ADG, the finger pattern keeps at 113 on 335 to start, then 557, back to 113, up to 88(10), 557, 668

I follow the pattern for the verses just strumming the three strings

the first heavy distortion part (e-tuned) is:

      G: 6
      D:3 6 4
      A:3 4 4
      E:1 2

return to intro strumming for the "oh well" part, then using octaves (finger pattern 1X3) on the A and G strings, your first finger moves to these frets in this order:

      5, 3, 5, 7, 5, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 8, 7, 5, 3, 5, 7, 10, 8

hold for sustain. if on acoustic, (which I’ve found is best) the 1st heavy dist part should be played as bar chords and the 15 in the last part can be moved to a 10X13 on the DGB strings. enjoy. i always appreciate feedback
