JimRussellMills30!Participant
I like Epiphone as opposed to Washburn and ESP. Although it’s hard to find a good one so go to store that maybe specializes in them.
JimRussellMills30!ParticipantI’ve experienced different effect pedals that have feedback at the end of the notes played. I imagine in some amps you can have better feedback than others. My opinion is sometimes you want feedback sometimes you don’t.
JimRussellMills30!ParticipantWhen you play triads in a rhythmic pattern that iare not a riff. When you play dyads in a melodic phrase that’s a riff. Dyads in a rhythmic pattern are not a riff either but can be a fill. I don’t really consider fifths to be real chords and there are intervals than can be in a rhythmic pattern but aren’t chords either. Basically a chord can’t be a riff in my opinion.
JimRussellMills30!ParticipantHi I’m Jim and a newbie to this forum. I hope to have a good time posting as I’ve decided to quite posting at the name-brand sites. I’ve played guitar for about 15 years, off and on so I’m no real professional. I have a Dixon acoustic, Squier Strat and Crate Gfx-15. I play mostly, Alternative, Classic Rock music as I listen to most Alternative and Classic Rock.
I am currently in between jobs, so I have a little time to do some postings.
As with many people I started out playing the piano, then the viola, trombone and now the guitar. Right now I re-learning the bass clef, along with the treble clef which I already know. I might add that I’ve also sung in the church choir when I was little.
Well, that’s it on me I’m interested in learning about you all in the future. Thanks, JimJimRussellMills30!ParticipantI would try reading Guitar Indentification or Vintage Guitar Guild 2012 the first has just Fender,Gibson and Gretsch while the second has everthing from a-z, almost everthing that is.
JimRussellMills30!ParticipantI suggest that you buy an offcial book that has all of the riffs and chords in it.
