Here are the pictures. I nicked a little of the gold off of the head when I was changing the strings. The body is somewhat cracking. It still sounds really resonant, though.

I don’t think it was a high-end guitar. It seems to be pretty rare. It has a “pinched” body that I don’t see on other Aria models of similar age.

If anyone has more info on it, it would be much appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

    Hello,

Nice to find something on the internet about this guitar. I have searched before in the past (sporadically, on eBay, Google, even Wikipedia), to no avail. I find it odd that we share serial numbers as well as model numbers.

It is an older model Aria based on the label. I’ve never had it appraised or inspected by anyone with knowledge of guitars. All I know is that it was bought locally at a music shop sometime in the 70s or 80s. Passed on to me through family.

I recall reading that part of the serial number corresponded to the year on some models – in this case, I’m assuming either (19)87 or 79? Aria didn’t produce guitars until 1964 according to Wikipedia, so it’s not the 62.

Mine says specifically “H-FA622” with the 622 in the same print as the other numbers.

I’m not sure what the “H-FA” designates.

I will get around to posting some pictures of it, please do the same if you are able.
