I have also given this irritating tick an amp. Mine was a 1963 Marshall Bluesbreaker. It has been 2 years now since i have spoken with him. I kep trying the phone number and his email but can never get hold of him. He also told me that my amp was a copy. I know it wasnt as i check the serial number etc for authentication.
