    yeah defo !!!

    i was born in 69 !
i was a teenager in the eighties !
you are right about 80’s music , lots of crap , as there always will be , but some incredible bands aswell!!!

    much as i dislike U2 now , i loved them then !
but i liked judas priest , AC/DC , Gong , zappa , beefheart , james brown , micheal jackson , jesus and mary chain , half man half biscuit , wizards of twiddley , hawkwind and lots more !

along with a lot of 60’s stuff when i started to learn guitar and was introduced to blues and rock !!!

i remember hearing joe satriani in about 87/88 and was totally blown away , i’d never heard anything like it !
absolutely awesome to an 18 yr old !!! still is actually , to a 37 yr old !!!
    😯

but i guess zappa has always been in the mix , as he was a freak of gigantic proportions !! 😈

    ooooh thanks , a zappa compliment !!! 🙂

yeah , i know the drums are a bit crappy , and the bass lines are vitually non existent , but they really aren’t my thing , so i dont really spend too much time on them , i guess i should !! 😳

i’m hoping to meet some people that can play the instruments i cant cover very well ( as in anything other than guitar) very soon !

lilac wine is excellent but i think that ‘lover , you should have come over’ , may be the greatest love song ever written , by a male !!!

shame the guy had to die in such a way , but i suppose he is now immortalised in his music . one thing that always makes my hair stand on end about jeff buckley is the way that he died , and the references to his demise in his songs , lots of water seems to be mentioned !!! 🙁

thanks for the listen , it is appreciated !!!

    😀

thanx for the listen micheal !

yeah the vox and my recording capabilities are incompatible !!!
    lol !

it was intended to be ‘away’ from the mix , as it was meant to be heard above the dirge i like to imagine as being music 😈

the ‘whatever’ track was intended to have vox , but they didnt get recorded , so i just played ‘whatever’ over it !!!

i’m moving to perth next year !!!
    😀

    yeah dude !!!

the cutter was the dogs bollox , eh ?

but there really is little i dislike about those guys !!!

the music , the lyrics etc were in a class of their own !!!

silver was a great track aswell !

and the album ‘ocean rain’ !!

    they were the merseybeat !

have to agree , i dont feel ‘the edge’ has the edge anymore !
noel gallagher is’n’t really a guitarist , unless you dont play guitar and knofler is a brilliant blue grass player , i saw him at ronnie scotts , about 8or9 yrs ago , he was good , but i’m not a big fan of dire straits !

i think micheal angelo is a mullet boy ! although he has some interesting runs and licks , he tends to play them continuously to my annoyance ! but i never was a fan of glam rock beyond the 70’s !

    😈

yes , maybe its just a matter of opinion , but hmm let me see , yep , your wrong and your ac30 is a bygone era , if they were so good , they’d still be around ! and they r not !

you had a crappy set up ! you still do !
you must be deaf dude !

of course you would put a guitar thru a guitar amp , derrrr, what else , and a pod v2 was designed for guitar so not only do you live in the past , you know sweet fa about the present , which probably means that you are either old and stupid or young and niave , either way , you are closeminded , about modern equipment , and evolution !

    hehehehe

the pinched harmonics are created by the guitar with overdive and some compression .

i dont use tube amps , they suck !

i use a very simple , but extremely clean fender fm and put the guitar thru a pod version2.

the pod v2 recreates any of the serious amps around from the 50’s until the modern amps . around 30 different ones.

it has overdrive , chorus , delay reverb , flanger , rotary , compression , noise gate and more .

it is the best setup ive had , and inexpensive .

if your rich , and only play rock dirges , then by all means , get a tube amp , and a pedal to go with it , but i would highly recommend podv2 .

i got mine 2nd hand from ebay 4 about £90 inc postage !

    i have a fender ma-1 3/4 size acoustic !

it is easy to play and sounds good enough for someone to begin on.

i’ve used it in recordings !

    it cost about £90gbp

dont forget that if this is the origonal paint job then it may be worth much more , especially when the fashion changes and people will pay more than its worth !

whatever you are using effects the tone of the music you make !

so yes , a noise supressor will , but you need to know why you need one !

i use one occaionally , especially in conjuction with compression and overdrive.

they are very good if you ‘need ‘ to reduce unwanted noise !
