Does anybody know how many Tele’s were made in 1985? Mine (serial# j1267) Black w/white body, Floyd Rose, Ebony fretboard, neck thru body. Just curious.Might sell if right price comes along.
as for a USA model, I don’t think anyone knows how many teles bodies were made. I can say that by 1985 there weren’t a lot of them, maybe 50 or less by that time. There were still being made after that. I have a 1988 lefty tele.

I have a 1989 made in usa, neck thru, Floyd rose, Complete rewire with new pots, EMG 85 bridge, EMG 81 neck, Freshly dressed frets, SHARP Custom facory Black finish with deep Orange lava finish spewed over it. Some scratches but all in all a beautiful axe with no playing limitations, and HUGE neck with jumbos. Great for two handed stunts!! Will provide photos if interested.

okay i have this Charvette by charvelle guitar. Its an orangey red colour with an H/S/S pickup setup. Its got a floyd rose trem, 5 way pickup selector, 1 tone and 1 volume knob. on the pickups it says charvelle/jackson. the stickers on the back of the neck i found out yesterday are still on there. they say model RR250 or 250RR, cant remember, and made in korea. can anyone help me out, and it says that Fort worth texas neck plate thing.

I can’t find anything like it except 1995 Jackson but this has dots on neck and large Charvel logo with Jackson style head . Also has Jackson bridge and tuners with charvel pickups 4 rotory controls. I was told it was a 1987 Eliminator but it’s a bass! Help please Email me any info its driving me crazy !

I need to id my charvel. Its serial is 296924, it has JT6 trem, Bolt on neck, 2 Jackson single coils and 1 humbucker, 3 on/off toggle switches.

Well I always wanted one back in the late 80’s and I just finally purchaced one today.It is in need of some help.It has house paint on it,which I will strip,and it has a Kahler 2500 series bridge,which may go,,it is kinda unplayable as of now,but the body/neck looks to be good.but I know the Volume knob is kinda destroyed,so I need someone to tell me what Impedance the Volume knob is so I can get her replaced.I wished I could find out more info on her,but any search I do I cant find anything.

Well, it sounds like you got one of the Charvels that was made in Japan. Any of the neck plates with the Fort Worth, Tx address were made in Japan. I have two of them and I’ve had to nurse them back to health,too. But they’re great guitars. It’s really hit or miss with the info on these guitars because they didn’t keep track of the serial numbers when they came back into the US (from my understanding). I have an EMG in my Model 2, so the pots are different. The volume pot I have in my Soloist is an A50K/8HW. This has active pickups , though. So, I don’t know if this will help you or not.

There are a bunch of factors that will determine the true value of your guitar (condition, layout, graphics) but just as a ball park $600-$1000.

Richie sambora had what looks like two charvels in the 80s. One on the living on a prayer video which was white and the other which i am interested in is black with one humbucker and reverse headstock and floyd rose with a maple neck. Can anyone tell me about them??
Bought a Charvel from Sam Ash (a reputable music store in New York ) but am having a hell of a time figuring the model and actual year. (been a long time) I purchased this baby in 1986 and the Ser # is 226204. No prefixes or anything just the # on the backplate (obviously a bolt on neck). In addition it states PO box 2344 Fort Worth texas…?? No Sam Dimas or anything like that. Educate me if you can.

These are very early Japan imports (and not USA models) called the Model series. Most likely, you guys might have model 1’s. The neck plate says USA but that is to show county of origin and not where it was made. The model series are very good guitars in their own rights.

Hey everyone, I bought Charvel 6 string electric guitar from Musician’s Friend around 1991 to 1992. It was solid white with a black hardware and a Floyd Rose tremelo copy with up-routing. I sold it when I lived in Nashville, TN….bad move. Anyway, I’m trying to find out the Model # from those years, one thing that sticks out in my mind is that it only had Dot inlays, not the sharfin style a 22 frets and a Single Coil neck and middle pickup and a Humbucker bridge pickup.
If anyone knows the model numbers of that year, or could help me find out more info on that old guitar I’d greatly appreciate it.
