gibson or les trem/schaller tremolo

I have an epiphone firebird 5 and I wanted to add a tremolo to it. I also own a Jaguar and very much like it's tremolo. So, I want some thing that performs in a similar way, ie detunes approx. 1-1/2 step and stays relatively in tune. I use heavy gauge strings (11-52) in case this is pertinent. I kinda like the gibson tremolos that come on other firebirds but was wondering if anyone out there has tried either a schaller or a les trem and what they think. I like to use very gradual pitch bends while playing chords, ala My Bloody Valentine.

This is a little pricy but its the best for epiphone or gibson styles for sure.
