FYI: Gretch was purchased by Gibson. I had my 1972 Gretch Country Gentleman stolen in 1991. I paid $1200. for the CG in 1971. The insurance compay replaced my old one with a new Gibson CG which was valued at $5875. in 1991. Good instrument but different than original. So thats why you cant find a "new" CG.

Sorry Bo,but Gretsch was not purchased by Gibson.The name Country Gentleman,I believe was originally Gibsons which for some reason went to Gretsch.I don’t know if Gibson sold them the name or what.Now Gibson has acquired the name back.
Just thought you’d like to know.That’s why the Gretsch Country Classic is the country gent only with a different name.Thanks.
