Taurus ups the distortion of their lightweight and portable floor-based amplifier and labels it the Stomp-Head 4.High Gain.
Although it looks like an unassuming stompbox pedal, the Taurus Stomp-Head 4.High Gain is a full-featured amplifier with a power output of 70W RMS. It is designed to be used on the floor as a pedal with its footswitches, but it is also works comfortably well on top of a cabinet like regular amp heads.
It has the same features as the Stomp-Head 4.SL, only this one is tweaked to meet the demands of high gain tone connoisseurs, ideal for progressive rock, punk and metal. This is designed by Taurus to be a lightweight and yet impressive sounding alternative to your fragile and bulky amplifier.
There are four foot-switches on the amp, most notable of which is its channel switch that switches between clean and lead. There is also a crunch switch that gives you tones that sit between the clean and lead channels. For piercing solos and instrumental breaks, you can step on the boost switch. The last switch on the amp is a nifty mute switch for tuning and other live performance emergencies.
