I recently picked one up myself. I have it running into a 60’s reissue slant front 4×12 cab with celestion greenbacks. It’s pretty versatile as far as sound goes. The dirty channel has teo separate distortion settings, and the clean has a clean and a slightly grittier setting. T he built in reverb is nice, but the footswitch provided only changes channels, not the reverb off. My only complaint is that the footswitch doesnt turn off the reverb, effects loop, or let you switch the built in gain. I’m sure there is a way to modify it, but for all that money it should already come that way like the TSL does. As far as tone goes it sounds awesome. I find that I use less effect pedals with this amp. The only thing you really need is a chorus pedal if you go for that thick clean sound. I also found that the MXR Zakk Wylde overdrive makes the thing scream. I don’t know if this helped your decision or not but I don’t regret buying it.
truckstopjesusParticipantyou should ask pedalboard guy

truckstopjesusParticipantGo with the monster cable. I use three 21 foot “angled to straight” monster rock cables. Two go to my effects loop, and one goes to the front of my amp. I also use a twelve foot staight monster rock cable from my guitar to my effectts board. In addition to those, I use seven of their 6 inch patch cables for the stomp boxes. I’ve never hd any problems with any of the above, not to mention that the plugs are gold plated for better conductivitity. The 21 footers cost about fifty dollars a piece, the 12 footer was about thirty dollars, and the 6 inch patch cables were twenty dollars a piece. The sound quality is there. I won’t use any other cables. Wow! I should be a sales rep for these guys after that review 😆
truckstopjesusParticipantThanks for all of the replies. It sounds like I have what I need already. I just get stressed every time I plug a new toy into my rig not knowing if I have the right surge protection. Monster Cable is definitly the way to go though. I was skeptical at first, but you really can hear the difference.

truckstopjesusParticipantIt’s funny that you had that guitar. A friend of mine had the same one. The thing weighed a ton and fed back like a bitch, but it sounded pretty cool. Anyway to answer your question, he sold his to Freehold music in Freehold New Jersey. Last time I was there it was still there for 100 dollars.
