looking for a late 30’s national triolian tenor tailpiece to fit ’36 small body feaux wood tenor. same as the six string model only four holes. please mail if able to help. thank you much.
I have the very touching answer to your question . . . and would like it verified.
The carvings on the Guild S-100 are of the northern red oak AKA the New Jersey State tree. This was a special commemorative guitar to the founder; Alfred Dronge made the year following his death.
While production moved to the Westerly, RI factory, the offices remained in New Jersey, a situation that would prove fatal. While commuting to the factory in his private plane on May 3rd, 1972, Al Dronge ran into heavy weather and died when the plane went down.
Kay Guitar - Need help to find Model and Year. I have serial #.
Jeff @ Fix-Axe
Anyone out there with info on old Kay guitars, I need help. Please.
I’m doing a very big fix-it job on an old Kay Flat top acoustic 6-string. It’s pretty hashed, but it’s a family heirloom, so I want to do the best I can on it. Also, I would like to provide a bit of history on this guitar for the owners. Thus the need for help.
The serial # is very clear (L9093) but the model seems to read as N1. All I could find on the internet is a model N2. It doesn’t even come close, so I need help from anyone out there to find it’s origination.
If you can help, I would really appreciate it.

Hey there Janne – me too.
Actually, I’ve resolved that I cannot locate an original and have set about to fabricating my own.
Now, I’m just trying to get access to one or more to get detailed specs to re-build. Perhaps that would work for you too.
Would be glad to trade info as acquired.

: i’m searching for a wooden tail piece with trini lopez logo

: guitar.
I bought a Harmony 2 cutaway, 3 p/u, slimline, f hole, floating scratchplate light sunburst guitar stamped inside EJ in Sydney, NSW Australia in 1961, strung it leftie and used it for over 20 years on gigs. In 1982, it needed work and unfortunately I took it to an unskilled repairer who didn’t do the best job of fixing some small things and I set it aside. It still sounds good but plays like a dog. Now, I want to put it back to top playing condition myself and I need a few original parts if they are available. Does anyone out there have any parts, contacts or advice to offer?
It’s fixed – not exactly as purchased. It has a replacement neck from a 1966 H77, new copies of original machine heads, twin matching tort scratchplates, a new leftie Bigsby, a new roller bridge. The body and elctronics are original. The whole job took me 3 years of searching for parts and 20 hours of work to rebuild. It was like old home week when I strung it up and played the first few notes and my hands were right into it.
It is heaven to play – the "grand old man" is back in business, teamed up with my Roland Cube 60 and the sound is magnificent.
A lot of research lets me know that my guitar is an H75. I’m still needing an original tailpiece, an original imitation tortoiseshell scratchplate like on the head, a scratchplate bracket and some original machine heads, that is, if they’re out there for sale.
i got a harmony from my granddaddy which was set aside.
