40th Anniversary Buck Dharma Signature Guitar
J.C. Harper Luthier announces the availability of the 40th Anniversary model Buck Dharma Signature Electric.
This guitar is built to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Buck's band Blue Oyster cult.
This instrument comes with North American made hardware and materials. Its body is made of alder with a special top bout forearm bevel for comfortable playing. The shape and contours follow the design of Buck's old white SG. The back side of the guitar has a tummy cut that improves comfort further.
The neck of this guitar is made of hard birdseye maple and it is topped by a figured black walnut fingerboard. It has 24 stainless steel frets with offset 4mm mother of pearl do inlays. To identify this guitar, a special mother o pearl "40" inlay is placed at the 12th fret. The guitar has a 25.5" scale length and has a 16 inch fingerboard radius.
Capturing the tone of this electric guitar are two DiMarzio humbucking pickups with coil splitting circuitry. It comes with a 3-way-toggle switch, a master volume, a tone volume and a mini-toggle switch that allows for coil splitting.
Sperzel Trim-Lok tuners ensure tuning stability along with a HipShot fixed, strings-through-body bridge. All the hardware are finished in black to contrast the finish.
The body of the guitar comes in white with optional first album cover art graphics, while the neck has a Satin wipe-on polyurethane finish on the fingerboard and back side of the neck. The headstock comes in a translucent dark brown/black gloss finish, and it houses a BOC Kronos Inlay and Buck Dharma's Signature.
This guitar is currently retailing for $1,795, inclusive of the hardshell case. You will add $250 if you want the optional first album cover graphic, with four different variations available.
