  3. Need Fender Precision bass pick guard.
    Donny Pope

I desperatly need a pick guard for a Fender "precision" bass guitar, circa 1977-1978 model, sr # 5882426. This is a friend of mines guitar. He has a well known bar in south Texas and has recently had a heart problem. While he was in the hospital, an open nite player stepped on the input cord and broke the pickguard. Help me locate this part so that when he returns to his music at his club, he wont’ have another heart attack when he look’s @ his beloved bass. Email me @ mudlogger_2004 @ yahoo.com. Many Thank’s, Donny, Lake conroe, Texas

    1. Re: kahler tremlo parts
      david

: i need some kahler tremlo parts if any one can help PLEASE write. we have tried every where.

the only luck i have had is looking thru guitars in local pawn shops, which takes getting to know the person in charge so you can look thru all the stuff in storage for what your looking for. me is was a american made kramer barretta with the original and i think the best floyd ever made. it has under the saddle a mechinizim that allows the tremelo to stay in place or be adjusted the amount of detuning etc. now adays you have to buy a mechinizim from allparts.com for 34 dollars and the floyds dont have them or the kahlers. my bc rich has a kahler and it is fine . the problem besides tuning is cutting the string ends off and having to stuff them into the "vice", Ive brokken many saddles and just ordered two more for 35 bucks american. Does anyone know if the wilkinson tremelo is worth a shit? It just slides in strings, cool. fYI those locking tuners suck. the pole inside the string spool gets stuck from lack of quality manufacturing.

I can’t help you with your issue, but was wondering if you have the b25 pickguard still and its in good shape? If so, if you send me a picture maybe I can buy it from you. I want to make sure from the picture it matches by guitar. Oh yeah, mine is the sunburst color, so it would have to be the pickguard for it.

  6. Glen Campbell Collector Series
    Al Van Vleck

I’m looking for replacement electronics for my model# 1627 Glen Campbell Collector Series. The bridge pick-up is in good shape, but the 1/4" plug, vol/tone control pot & battery mount are trashed. Please let me know if you have one for sale, or if you can recommend a source. Thanks!!!

  7. Grover machine heads
    Cheri

I have a 70’s Gretsch Country Gentleman – Chet Atkins style model 101227. It has tuner keys which are similar to the Grover vintage imperial keys. However, the holes don’t match up. The squared off edge of the vintage is pointed on mine (like the pointed end of the vintage). The Knob is a large rectangle. The keys are gold. On my tuner, one of the screw holes (pointed end) has broken off. I really don’t want to drill new holes in my guitar. If you can give me ANY location where I can get keys matching mine, I’d appreciate it very much.

  10. i need a spyder kahler for fender strat
    jacob

i got an 87 fender strat (i think ) and the precision tuners are getting all stripped. anybody thats got it hook it up.

    1. Re: fender strat
      Gary Miller

Look at the serial number. The first letter is the country where it was made, M for Mexico, J for Japan, D for USA. The second letter is for the decade that it was made. So E=eighties, N=nineties, Z=2000’s. The number following this is the year. So if the serial number is ME8xxxx, it was made in Mexico in 1988. Be careful, becuase sometimes the neck is not the original.

  12. Mandolin Pickguard
    Andrew

I reciently bought a epiphone mm-30, and since I’m a lefty I’ll be converting it to…lefty. I need a lefty pickguard that will fit that "A" style mandolin on the lefty side…please help me find one

    Thanks so much,

    Andrew

    1. Re: Mandolin Pickguard
      Yet another Andrew

      Hi Andrew,

      We share a first name!
I’m a lefty too and in the process of doing exactly what you are doing, converting an Epiphone Mondolin. I have not been able to locate any factory made left handed epiphone mandolins, so it might be difficult to find original or OEM left handed pickguards. I am now looking at making on myself. Mine has a silkscreened logo on it, so I’m tackling how to replicate it. There is an online company that makes after market pickguard replacments for most big name brands. They state that they do lefties and customs too. The list some prices on their site: http://pickguards.us/ If you do use them, post are review if you can. -Andrew

I’ve got an old Kapa guitar that belonged to my dad that I’m looking to sell. I don’t know much about it other than it has a Bigsby Tremelo, and the pick guard seems to has shrunk over the years. Would this be of any interest to you?

: Sorry it took so long to respond, Just moved to FL. It is nickle / Ivory — others have some "shrinkage so that would not be a problem as long as the replacement is sound.
