    Hi
Yes I did. I managed to get a supply made up – this has to be done correctly – if you send me your email I will email you the pictures etc I have.

    Hi
thanks for the comments and the time.
I think you are correct with most of your assumptions re the type of woods etc.
I purchased the guitar about 6 years ago – unfortunately the guy I purchased it from did not know a great deal about it, bar that it was made in Holland – he thought it was about 6 to 8 years old then which I assumed made it mid nineties manufacture – however this was total supposition and I tend to think your detective type thoughts re types of wood etc may be more accurate!!
The only thing I would say is that whilst the guitar is reasonably heavy, it is not as heavy as for instance one of my Les Pauls; probably a Kg lighter (a bit of a guess and when I am back in Barbados I will weigh the Lasky and get an accurate weight)
Thanks again for the interest and help.

thanks – yes the quality of the woods is really exceptional and it is a great playing guitar – hot pick ups and rich tone, real sustain, silky action – I just wish i could get another! Hence really my posting to see if anyone knew anything about Lasky’s.
    Thanks for your time, appreciated.

    Hi
Pictures as promised. Possibly not the best, they don’t show the depth of grain or the glowing colour of the wood very well, but I think that’s the best I am going to get with my camera (and probably more relevantly my picture taking skills, or lack thereof!)
Hope someone can help with some info on Lasky. Does all seem a bit of a mystery to me, but I’m real glad I got one.
With regard to the woods used I think the headstock looks like walnut to me on front and back, the neck is maple but the body I’m not sure.

    Thanks for your interest .
Both I think – sorry to sound vague but I had not used the guitar for many years (and I had only ever used it rarely) so to be honest I cannot really remember what it had. It had been lurking in the back of my studio under a desk being used as a coffee table sort of thing for ages and it was only when I packed everything up and sent everything to Cape Town that the missing power supply became apparent.
    Thanks for your interest

“Ah ha”, obviously why we failed in our bid for world domination.
We were only backwards not something special like a palindrome!!
Another reason for lack of success was probably our ignorance of what a palindrome really was.
I suppose I have to ask myself “Can I attain a ‘C’?” if I ever took an English exam. But I hear my friends say, you did take one.
    “I did, did I?”

I bought it when it came out as I love PRS Guitars and Waves software.
Unfortunately their marketing material was incorrect as it made no mention of the fact that the software will NOT work with Cakewalk Sonar, which I use for recording.

And of course as it is ilok protected once the serial number details are downloaded onto your ilok (as you have to to try it!) they will not take it back and issue a refund.

I thought I had a real problem here as the package is not cheap and I thought I was going to get stuck with something that is of no use to me through no fault of my own.
However Waves told me that they were working on a Sonar compatible version, and I am waiting the update (impatiently) now. Apparently should be released towards the end of January 2006, so they have a day or two left!

I have tried the software on a friends machine (he uses Cubase) and it seems pretty good. However until I give it a really thorough going over, would not like to say one way or the other.

    Hope this helps.

The first group I was in we called “Elbereth Gilthoniel”. Long time ago when we were all naive hippies – probably just about Ok at the time but sounds quite nauseating now!
After a while we changed the name to “Notlob” – a palindrome of Bolton for some unknown reason (Monty Python perhaps?). Obviously had a flair for crap names back then.

Has anyone actually witnessed Blair playing anything, other than his normal role of habitual liar? I expect the whole thing is some story made up and spun in the usual fashion by Millbank to make us think he was some kind of cool OK dude. As a life long Labour voter, and someone who voted for him in ’97, I think he is a total disgrace. As in the immortal words Billy Ocean, Tony it’s “Time to move on”!!
No doubt a fine, well paid position awaits in the EU or somewhere so “Go Now”!
