Man, I remember that…I’d only just recovered on fact 😯 Just wrong on so many levels, “Jake and Dinos Chapman don’t make guitars but if they did…”

Hey, I’ll have a think on brands and the like but first response is definitely look at second hand! Personally I never buy new instruments, don’t see the point.

My Aria Pro II was second hand (£200, I think) and has done me 14 years now. There’s some decent Japanese stuff that tends to be under-rated and therefore reasonably priced.

I started coming back on then moved house, it’s taken BT 8 weeks to grace us with a new phone line 👿 £13 line rental a month well spent!

Hoping to be back more now, not least because after 8 years off I find myself in 2 and a bit bands all of a sudden!

Noo…bad idea to bump as it appears that in 7 years I haven’t made a decision! Which I haven’t, but that’s mainly be for financial reasons lol

RE: CMI I know nothing I haven’t learnt from 1bassleft, however, i do love my Matsumoku’s and yeah, he’s bang on with:
Nicely done, even if bolt-neck. Has the “Steel reinforced neck, Made in Japan” plates that, IIRC, others with better knowledge say is a Matsumoku identifier.
A shot of the neck-plate would be great (and any other detail shots…it’s all in the finishing with these things.

Blimey how 11 months can change an opinion!
I’m now in a Stoner/Doom band, picked up a Boss ODB-3 in Cash convertors for £30…it’s the absolute preverbials! As is right and proper with stoner the drummer and I make up most of the sound with the guitar swirling in, out and around: Me, Christine and me ODB-3 can more than fill a room but you still get that lovely ‘Punched in the chest’ feel when I hammer it. Nice.

“Steel reinforced kneck Made in Japan” jumped out at me…could possibly be from the Matsumoku factory, think I have heard of Orlando. In which case tehe factory is waaay more important than the badge (I personally would collect Matsuoku given then pennies, made some great instruments)

Well now, that’s a bit gorgeous! Full size, the top looks nicely arched, is it? Even more convinced thats a Matsumoku now, won’t earn you mega-bucks but should be nice to play. Enjoy it! (and yes, Im a bit jealous)

Hello, not my field at all, but the reviews on Harmony Central look very positive and suggest it’s a standard size classical: http://www.harmonycentral.com/products/105174
