Welcome to the forum Chris, and that’s a really nice rendition.
AlexanderKeymasterNice cover! Kudos to you and your band
AlexanderKeymasterAlthough it might not make that much of a difference, the strings on George Harrison’s original Ricky are setup so that the lower pitched strings are struck first on a down stroke. I’m not sure if it was used on If I Fell because he had a second Rickebacker… but the original Rick was used on Ticket to Ride and A Hard Day’s Night. Hope that helps.
AlexanderKeymasterI’m assuming that you are into metal music, for that you need a distortion pedal that gives plenty of gain and low-frequency emphasis. You will rarely need the overdrive pedal in conventional metal music, so instead of having a distortion and overdrive pedal, I recommend just having one good high-gain pedal like the Wampler Triple Wreck. A delay pedal would also make a good addition to your planned rig.
This will help if you need more info on distortion pedals:
https://www.guitarsite.com/best-distortion-pedal/AlexanderKeymasterHere are other affordable and well received multi-effects that you can look into:
– Zoom’s G1 Series (G1N is probably the cheapest)
– Vox Stamplab 1G
– Digitech RP70I would still say that its better to save up for the HD300, but these units will get the job done at less than a 100 bucks. Good luck!
AlexanderKeymasterI would recommend the POD HD300 or HD400. They use the same tehcnology (HD modeling) as the HD500, but with less effects and routing features, which can be confusing for some. The HD300 is a great unit to test the waters so to speak.
AlexanderKeymasterOur guide to buying children’s guitar will be of great help to you. We have some guitar recommendations so do check them out and compare before buying the Profile guitar you are looking at. Many parents think that beginners should not be choosy with their instrument – but they don’t realize that if the guitar doesn’t sound or play well, the learner might easily lose interest.
AlexanderKeymasterGuitar stores should have the information on your stock set of strings. It would be best to get this information from them, specifically the gauge and string type, before you buy a replacement set.

AlexanderKeymasterYour guitar looks like a Les Paul copy. It looks just like the black Les Paul on this site: http://www.guitarjapan.com/edwards/spec/e-lp-85cd.html
