-Hi I'm dustin - I've also got an elk that was my uncles - the thing rocks, but I need more info or skematics.. does anyone have the 45 watt head? Do you know what Ohms the speakers are set up as? I'm wanting to replace the speakers in my Elk Cab. Thanks :)
Elk Amplifier
Elk amps are simply great once you bring them back up to speed. Remember all the Fender stuff for years has had TLC by all the generations of previous owners. I own an Elk ES-40 and all I can say is BLACK FACE VIBROLUX...how can I...because I also owned one! a 1967 Fender last year issue Black face. The Elk...BLOWS IT AWAY! for the $250.00 I have into it.
I sold the Vibrolux at $1200.00 in 2000 or so. I bought it for $50.00 from a Chinese food restaraunt.
By the way...people the tremolo needs a foot switch...before everyone says..."they don't work"...try the switch...it works.

That ELK Twin 45 head is set up for 4 ohm. Think Fender Bassman
