Re: Ibanez st-300 Value & what does the gold knob do??

The ST-300 is an guitar with active tone control. The gold knop is used to put the active electronics in/out the pick up circuit. Good news : when battery empty you can continue to play.

Price : no clue. bought mine in 1979 for 525 €. This was the top model. After that there was ST-100 and ST-50

Re: Ibanez st-300 Value & what does the gold knob do??

I have a ST300 since 20 years, bought secondhand in 83, the guitar dates from 79.
The round gold knob is volume. The gold switch is active equalizer on (when down) or bypassed (when up). Put a 9V-battery in the back and you'll be able to play all sounds.
What it's worth? Between 250 and 500$ ??? No idea.
Regards, Joost
