Tim, not if you wanted to use a different tuning on one neck or else set it up for slide playing or something.

Isn’t there a pic of one on the old Strat Collectors website? (Just checked – http://www.stratcollector.com/ – it’s a Strat/Esquire doubleneck).
There were a couple of Gibson Les Paul/Fender Strat doublenecks made – obviously two guitars that had been joined together. I can’t remember who the main guy was who used one of these, although apparently the other guy who’s got one is Ozzy Osbourne and he’s not a guitarist.
glwParticipant
what amazes me is, those relics go new for £1650 -£2000, and a used one will go for £1200, why the hell would you want a new one?
Interesting. So, relic Fenders don’t keep their value?

(IRONY!!!!!)
glwParticipantIt’s the whole “relic” craze. People think it’s cooler to have dents and scratches, as it supposedly gives the guitar a certain “mojo”.
glwParticipantCheck the Teisco Twangers website.
Yes, I know the site ceased to exist recently, but it looks like someone has copied all the info and resurrected it:

Specifically, go to the “tech” pages – there are some wiring diagrams that may help you.

I’m not religious at all (in fact I’m an outright atheist) but even I can walk into a church and admire the magnificience of a stained glass window.
However transferring such a design onto the front of a guitar is not necessarily a good move, irrespective of your own personal beliefs.

Possibly someone builds them from Warmoth parts (or similar).
The finish is distinctive!
Have you any photos of the headstock?
October 1, 2008 at 3:25 pm in reply to: I have a Memphis Electric I think Fender copy of some sort. #79679glwParticipantIf you want to install a humbucker pickup in, say, the bridge position, it’d be far neater and easier to get a single-coil sized humbucker such as Seymour Duncan’s Lil 59. That way you wouldn’t have to carve the guitar up (which would definitely devalue it further) – the pickup would fit the existing cavity and hole in the scratchplate and could be swapped back to a single-coil if desired.
glwParticipantWotcha!
glwParticipantThere’s a whole bunch of websites devoted to Hagstrom guitars, and forums for Hagstrom fanatics. Perhaps you could ask some of those guys.
Sorry, I don’t have much more info, though I have seen a video of the guitar you mention in action and it looked pretty interesting.

It looks to be a pretty decent Strat-copy, with maple neck and from your pics what appears to be an Ash body. It all looks to be good quality stuff.
