    Hi,

    Anonymous

Hi my dad found an Ibanez guitar some years ago and now I want to know what she worth. The note inside the guitar said “Ibanez concord model no. 10-15 ”
The numbers are not like the numbers of the Ibanez guitars I saw on internet so if someone now what it means, I’d like to know too XD
    Thanks

    1. I bought one a few months
      Anonymous

I bought one a few months back for 79.00 and I have seen much higher prices between 300 to 400. I also had this guitar new as a kid…kinda of weird I ran into it. It sounds really great and the year is around 1977. There is not much info online about it. How does your sound?

      1. Ibanez C300BS
        TomaHawk

This was the first guitar I bought. Birthday present to me in 1979. I still have it and it is great condition, sounds amazing. It’s about to turn 40 so thought that I’d have a look around and see what I could find out about it. I remember that I paid $169 and that was a heap of money then. Still play it, love it. Enjoy it. There’s not much info around then but most who have/have had one say that they sound really good.
        Cheers

  6. Ibanez model 367 classical guitar
    Djbradles

    Hi there,
I’ve had a 1970-72 era model 367 classical from my late Dad who bought it around that time frame. It has a red cedar top with rosewood back and sides. All appears to be solid wood. Excellent resonance and tone after all these years. It’s fairly simple craftsmanship with no fancy bracing, nut, saddle, or binding. The marquette and headstock wood inlays are nicely done with a chain through cross or plus signs. Neck is mahogany. Headstock has rosewood veneer. I would love to find out more but google can’t pull up anything with several millions of results….

  7. Ibanez Artist Bass 1978

    Hi all

I have a 1978 Ibanez Artist bass, the serial number is f786353 which I’ve been told means it was made in June 1978.

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how much it would be worth as there doesn’t seem to be much information around.

    Thank you

  9. Ibanez Artwood Series Guitar
    The Preacher

    Ibanez

    Artwood Series AW-60

It is hard to read but either 81120173D or B1120173D

It is signed, not a printed signature but an actual hand cursive signature of M Honda and the label is not like the 1978-80’s labels.

    It is made in Japan

It has original Ibanez smooth tuner II machine heads

Inside on the neck block is printed 130165 with an “X” stamped below the number.

Is there any where here I can post pictures of it and the label?

: I believe I have a Les Paul from 1973. It appears to be Model 2398 (Natural). There is no serial number on it. It has Ibanez on the headstock, a bolt-on neck, a maple fretboard with painted on trapezoids. Can anyone tell me how I can verify that this is the correct model and year as there is no serial number. Thanks!

That is correct sir…I have the exact same guitar, but on the headstock instead of Ibanez, it says ZAPP written in electric font. Did yours come with a pickguard and switch cover? What type of humbuckers, etc? I just did the research. If you look in the 1973 catalog on the first page, it is the 2398 model, no serial number. They came out with the 2398 model again in 1975, but by that time they had included the serial numbers on the back.
I think we have the same guitar, man!

I have ’77 Tuxedo custom. These are "post Lawsuit" this is determined by the "tulip" rather than "open book" head stock that was Gibsons law suit point.Mine has the gold star tuners as well. Great playing guitar ( I have a Gibson LP as well) there are only slight tonal differences and a little fret edge to the Ibanez…all in all not sure what the value is…I see them ocasionally on E-Bay etc. for around $400.00.

  18. Ibanez Vintage Model 637

I purchased this guitar back in ’78 and I’ve been researching it without any luck. I even called the dealer where I purchased it and he doesn’t have any info. The serial number inside the sound box is 780316. There is no letter preceding the serial number. Anybody ever run across this particular model and do you have any info?

  21. Would like to know the year this was made in please
Ibanez Concord 12 string Model 648.12

    Hi:
I have acquired an Ibanez Concord 12 string guitar with a butterly on it and I’ve done some research on the computer to try and find out what it’s worth or the year it’s been made in and I haven’t come up with much. There seems to be a hummingbird model and a dove one, not a butterfly one, so I just wanted to know if you have knowledge about what I have. My friend wants to play it and I need to know this in case I want to sell it to him. Thank you for your expertise.

    Sincerely,
    Katherine

      :
: : I bought my 1981 Japanese Ibanez Roadstar RB800 4-string Bass brand new in NYC in 1981! It was a truly horrific Fire Engine Red with tiny metallic flakey sparkles when i got it. 26 years later, and its dulled down to a pretty cool looking deeper red. She’s got "Ibanez RB800. The Ultimate Expression Of Craftsmanship" along the body, just above the neck. (Bolt-On Neck, Arrow shaped Headstock) She also has the Fender type PUps and all-active system. The neck is really skinny for a bass, even narrower than my Fender Jazz Bass. I LOVE this bass. I’ve used her constantly for almost 26 years now!
: : In session it’s sound just outclasses Fenders, Ricky’s and even a couple of Alembic’s I’ve used. I’ve had clients request a "Grunting Precision Bass sound…" in a session, and after about 3 mins on an Ashdown 4×10 tube combo, and 5 mins on my Ibanez, I had the producer saying "Thats the fattest grunt i’ve ever heard…" (He’s obviously never met my mum!) I went through the entire 80’s with her doing "Slap Bass" sessions, Jazz sessions, Rock, Blues etc etc. BUT… My Ibanez RB800 truly excells in the "Funk Bass" dept. The action on her 2 octave superscale neck is **** ing amazing.
: : It’s never fretted out or choked. The Frets did actually turn green though!!! Against the dark Rosewood board and the deep red neck, it looked sort of cool, but even on a new set of strings she was starting to sound a bit tired. I got her refretted in Boston (94) and the guy who did the job said that she had the wildest feel he’s ever played. With a set of Med long scale strings, the action at the 12th fret is just slightly higher than my 75 Gibson LP Standard! In 26 years, she’s been pro setup only TWICE and refretted ONCE! She’s so well setup, that if i want to, i can actually play just a little more behind the frets, and give her a Ricky or PBass "Grunt" or do lead lines on her.
: : After 26 years, my only gripes about her is 1: THAT colour!
: : 2: When the 9volt battery runs out, things get ugly. All of a sudden it’s fizz, fizz, fart……nothing! So i always keep a spare few 9volt batts in the original Ibanez RB800 Case (built like a tank!)
: : Not too bad a list of gripes really i think. I cant say enough about my RB800. It can also do Dub Reggae effortlessly too… I’m going into the studio today, where i’m producing and playing guitar/bass on a truly amazing Singer/Songwriters debut album. I’ll take her out of her case, look at her and go "Uuuuugh what the **** was i thinking about with this colour!" plug her in and put down 10 hours worth of excellent sounding bass tracks.
: : Cant say anymore about her.
: : I would never think of selling her, but am looking for another one (NOT RED!) I’d love to know what the wood is under the paint. If i do ever see another one for sale, i’d buy it, and get my Red RB800 stripped and Nitro’d natural.

      1. 1987 RB800 bass
        Charlie

It’s now 2019 and I’m down sizing my guitar collection. I bought a Squire Jazz bass for a Zep tribute and that fell to shit. My buddy sanded down the neck and put a Fender Jazz decal on her, then restained the neck. Plays really well and I found a Corona neck plate for it. Took her out a few times and everybody loves this counterfeit bass. The issue is that I have an old 87 RB800 that puts everything to shame. I’m a lead guitarist who doubled on bass through the years and my hands are not large. This neck is skinnier than anything I’ve played and is 24 frets. I can bend notes at the 15th fret like a Les Paul. I’m torn as to which bass I should keep and I think the Ibanez just won out due to playability and sound. The only thing I hate is the ugly tomato red color. UGH! This old girl might be ugly, but can she ever play live and in the studio!
At 32 years old, I just can’t part with her. I’m now 60 myself and don’t see my hands getting any stronger and the aches and pains are starting to creep in lately. I think I’d better keep this old gal around and consider a new paint job?

      2. Hi,
I don’t know where to ask this, so I’m asking here.
Do you know where a replacement “Ibanez RB800. The Ultimate Expression Of Craftsmanship” decal can be found?

83 Road Start is very well respected, sought after guitar…but the number of musicians who love them is fairly small. Depending on features and conditions I see them sold on e-bay for 300-700 dollars
