: Anyone have info on my Yamaha FG-75. It has a yellow or tan lable and says it was made in Taiwan Reublic of China. Just wondering how old it might be. Thanks.

I have an FG-75 that I bought new in 1972, but it has a redish orange label inside that says FG-73 Nippon Gakki. The tuners on mine are open backed and not the best, but the guitar plays great with excellent action and a nice sound.

I think the guitar was built in Japan around 1972-73, They have a laminated top nato neck and nato back and sides. Sound good though...I would replace the tuners as they are real cheap and fall apart after a while(30 years??)
