HELP!!!!!

Re: a very confused

The diff.between the NJ and the platinum is with the NJ
you get a rosewood fingerboard, all black hardware, double locking tremolo and diamond inlays you don't get this with the platinum. The bronze is very basic,no trem, basic fingerboard and all chrome hardware. The double locking tremolo means that it locks at the nut and at the bridge(helps keep it in tune better).

Frets

I just ordered an electric guitar from musicyo.com. I got the Kramer 'FatPack' guitar/amp combo. The guitar has 21 frets and I noticed that the more expensive line of guitars (Pacer) has more frets. Keeping in mind that this is my first guitar, should I get one with a greater number of frets or stick with what I have. Thanks.

Re: Frets

The one you ordered is fine. Having one less fret means that the highest note you will be able to play is a C# instead of a D. That one fret is not going to matter a whole lot.

Re: Frets

It all depends on what kind of music you will be playing, and if you intend on buying a new one, anytime soon. If you want to play clean electric guitar, 21 frets shouldnt be much of a problem. If you want to play black metal, i would advise you to go ahead and purchase a top quality guitar with more. It all depends on what skill level you intend to reach, with that guitar. You can't expect to be great, with your first guitar. You should stick with the one you have now, and when you are ready for a new guitar, in about 8 months to a year, you should save and buy a gibson. I have a gibson sg gothic. I love it, smooth fret board, for fast licks. But keep in mind that a guitar can only sound as good as the amp. So you might want to invest in a better amp before buying a new guitar
