Fret counts?

I have a Fender Squier Affinity Strat that I recently won. I have been doing some research on the value of it. I have noticed in all the descriptions and in photos of this guitar, there are 21 frets. My guitar has 22 frets. Do I own a real good knock-off of an original or has Fender shanged the designs?

Re: Fret counts?

Interesting. I have the same exact guitar - mine has 21. You might want to check that out. I know fender hasn't changed their designs recently - maybe you got a special edition. Who knows?

Roxy Guitar Finish

I have had a couple aftermarket strats painted by Roxy Guitar Finish. They are flawless and i love them.

ES- 125 Gibson

I need to find out how much an ES 125 Gibson Electric Archtop is worth. It has double pick up and is in mint condition. We estimate it to be a 1957/1960 guitar.

Re: ES- 125 Gibson

Oh, probably at the most a few hundred bucks... as a matter of fact, I'll give you $300 cash right now if you're interested.

Re: ES- 125 Gibson

Man, I just saw this posting now, you probably haven't looked at it for two years or so. I couldn't leave without telling you that MAHATMACOAT is a freakin' liar. Your guitar, if in good condition, is worth a MINIMUM of $750. I have seen them go for as much as $1,200 and saw one in a shop in NYC priced at $999.00 with a neck problem that made it almost unusable. I hope you realize that anyone who offers to buy it from you is not reliable for pricing information. I already have mine, check Google.com for more reliable sources. Good luck.

Re: ES- 125 Gibson

re: ES-125
What is the serial number (this will confirm vintage)? What kind of shape is it in? All original?
Assuming in very good shape and late 50's, early 60's vintage with all original (no replacement parts), I'd estimate it is worth about 600-700 USD. Obviously, with more wear and tear the price would go down accordingly.
Are you interested in selling this guitar? If so, contact me at this email address with some pictures of the guitar, etc.

guitar

anyone know bout the advanced electronics behind electric guitars, need info for school.

guitar rests, supports for guitar, solves ergonomical problems, sit comfortably while you play.

What do you think about guitar rests (supports for guitar)during practising and performing.Do you have a lots of pains (musle pain, headakes, etc.) from keping a guitar in uncomfortable position?.Do you want practise longer and achive more?.Do you feel uncomfortable with footstools?. Did you hear about Aguado's tripodion?.Visit my web www.guitarrests.com
and let me know what do you think?

Re: guitar rests, supports for guitar, solves ergonomical problems, sit comfortably while you play.

That's a super idea. When my Ebay stuff sells I will order one from you. Too many large pictures on the webpage - slow download.

telecaster pickups

I have a USA Tele and a Vox ac30. I`m having trouble with noise and want to know if someone can suggest either a pick up set that will sound original or method of fixing the problem with the standard ones

Re: telecaster pickups

Kinman pickups have a good reputation with regard to sounding original plus having good hum-bucking qualities, if that's where your problem lies.

would anyone like to email me ?

Tuner Recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a good guitar tuner that is capable of flat tunings? It seems like every other song these days is anywhere from a half step flat to one and a half steps flat. I need a tuner that can handle these tunings quickly to free up some of my practice time from trying to tune these by ear.

Boss makes a chromatic tuner, or any chromatic tuner in general will work

what is the picking method?

I need playing guitar for a conference in english
and I want learning picking easily

Re: what is the picking method?

Practice! Practice always makes perfect. Learn various scales and try alternate picking (upstrokes and downstrokes). Try the A minor pentatonic - that's pretty easy to begin with.

Randall combos

As you may have guessed, I am looking for Dime's unique distortion sound. I think the RG100SC will do the trick. Any opinions (I don't want the Warhead)?

Which way to go- Epiphone '58 Flying V- or Firebird VII?

Hey all, im a strat guy, and im looking for something different with a wilder look, but that still has a good sound. I can go either way, and i was wondering which one you liked better. Also, please tell me if the pickups suck or not? Thanks, tws

Re: Which way to go- Epiphone '58 Flying V- or Firebird VII?

a couple years ago i became in the same situation, i had a strat and i wanted something cooler so i made the disicion to buy a korina v instead of a korina explorer there both cool but the v had that "something" extra; the shape - its very light- :and the playability . if you want something cool than buy a V not the Firebird ( he is to classic) Hey all, im a strat guy, and im looking for something different with a wilder look, but that still has a good sound. Effects processor advice needed

I've got a Brian Moore c55 guitar and a Crate GFX-212T amp, and I'm looking to add an effects processor to my setup. I would use it primarily for live performances of rock/jam-based music. My desired price range is $300-$500. Can anyone give me some suggestions?

Check out the Boss GX-700 rack mounted unit, not very widely used and very under-rated!!! I've had one for a couple of months now that I got from a local music store clearance sale, I got it for $142, but I have no idea what price range it goes for new. Boss doesn't even have it on their website, so there isn't a whole lot of info about it anywhere...but trust me, it's low priced and worth the deal ten fold!!! I am a totaly tech nerd and I spend 6-7 hours at a time, usually all night messing with this unit! It never gets boring, it's simple to use and EXTREMELY versitile. If you like boss effect pedals, you'll love this unit! It offers even more control than most of the individual stomp boxes themselves. great investment overall! Cheers!
